Cerino99 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Hi, well these past couple of weeks ive been reading thread after thread about rebound relationships and i was hoping to finally share my experiance and hopefully get some advice. So with that said let me go back to the begining. My gf of three years and I recently broke up. I initiated the break up because things were starting to get bad. Anways she went to go and live with the people who are next door to us. Well about 4 days after the break up she calls me and comes over. We talk for a bit and she hugs me and kisses me and tells me she loves me still and so forth. Well not 2 days later when we try and talk she seems really stand-offish and after some probing i learn that she has a new bf already. She then proceeds to tell me that she loves me but she is no longer in love with me and when i ask her well what about 2 days ago when you were over here giving me kisses and saying you loved me what was that and she responds with well i have attachment issues. Anyways since that day i havent talken to her even though she is staying right next door to me but i have noticed that this new guy she has, well they are together 24/7 for the past 2 weeks. Another thing i think i should mention is that my ex seems like a very needy person like she needs someone to take care of her and i think thats what this guy is for her but im not sure. Since she has gotten with her new bf i have seen her twice each time when she is leaving with him and she has waved to me both times. I waved back but it really hurt me because well we were together for 3 years and we have a son together. There are many times i would do anything to have her back but then i turn around and think to myself am i better off without her? My family and friends feel that i am but it is really painful at the moment. So i guess this new guy she is with is he just her rebound and after a while she will be calling or trying to make contact with me again and if so what should i do...
