i'm a 20 yr old going to school 3 1/2 hrs from my g/f of 10 mon. we just broke up because she said she doesn't know if she wants that serious of a relationship, but she's never mentioned it or showed it at all. she says she's not looking for anyone elsebut is that just her way of saying she wants to see other ppl? i love her with all my heart and i know she does too even though some things that have happend haven't been the greatest, like getting a dui last summer and almost not getting back into college, but didn't bother her b4. is it the distance that got her or has she finally had enough? how long do i wait to see if she wants to get back together?

:(

is love letting someone go when you think they can do better than you when you hope not or is it just feeling sorry for yourself due to what's happened?

i would say its probably the distance.....she might have some trust issues with you and wants to end it before she can get hurt. i dunno. thats just kind of the way i feel about it because my bf will be going off to college in a few months and im not sure if i want to keep it going because im afraid he's just going to find someone else and is going to leave me alone.....so i might break it off b4 he even has the chance.....get what im saying?

Hi-

I was in a LDR for 2.5 years, the first 1.5 was great but the distance (about 4.5 hours) started to eat at us. Then he lost my trust (not due to the distance) and we never recovered from that. We broke up a little over a week ago.

I really regret spending my first two years of college in a LDR, but hindsight is 20/20 right? If you both want to keep in contact then it might not be a bad thing but if one of you wants your space then the other needs to respect that too. Maybe you should take the opportunity to date someone else for a while too, see what happens.

Good luck
