orion123 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 hi im a bit shy about asking things but thats the wonders of the net so here goes im 22 and have never even met a girl iv liked before in person iv have been getting on really well with a girand she wants to meet me the only thing is i keep going over it in my mind and keep thinking about what its going to be like what do i do i dont even know how to greet her she has said she likes me and i like her but the fear of messing up or looking a fool is making me reconsider meeting her iv spoke to her about how i feel and originally she was going to meet me with her mate but has asked if i would prefer to meet just her and i dont knwo if that would be better or worse i really do like her and would appreciate any advice you could give me thanks
kjl933 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 First off, you are 22--learn how to punctuate a sentence. If she likes you and you like her and it has been determined...go meet her. No mate required. Just be yourself and have a good time and go with the flow. Greeting her? I would say that a hug and a hello would not be out of order. Perhaps even a kiss on a cheek--but that may be a good way to end the date as well.
remedylane Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I always have a hard time meeting a girl I like for the first time too. Try to be yourself, and pretend it's your friend. Like others have told me, she is just a person, she's not going to physically hurt you, she's just human like me and you. I must keep telling myself this too!
db75 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 You're overthinking it. When you overthink a meeting/date with a girl you're just going to put pressure on yourself and make yourself nervous. Overthinking can cause you to go in with this pre-conceived idea of how your meeting will go and if it doesn't go the way you imagined you could feel even more nervous or awkward. Flow with it. Have no expectations. Just relax and vibe with what's going on at the time. Again, try not to think too much, just have a good time.
