Guest Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Recently my girlfriend had broken up with me due to problems concering me. Since then we have recently been talking briefly and discussing our possible future and me acknowledging the problems I've brought into our relationship. Our last conversation ended with me informing her that I would like to make things right again with her, to which she said "talk to me in a few months, maybe ill have forgiven you for what you've done. Bye." My question is, should I do as she asks and just wait a few months before trying to smooth things over? Or should I try to talk to her every now and again?
Cheshire Cat Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Recently my girlfriend had broken up with me due to problems concering me. Bye." My question is, should I do as she asks and just wait a few months before trying to smooth things over? Or should I try to talk to her every now and again? Each person is different. I'd interpret it as a "disappear from my view for a few months, I have no intention of even talking to you, let alone considering getting back together with you until I am over whatever happened". But I know personally some people who would say such a thing and expect the other person to run after them and do anyhting to show that they care and they are sorry. So they'd be very disappointed if the other person took their words literally! (A quite unhealthy way of thinking, if you ask me). You know her better than any stranger on a forum. Does she usually means what she says? Where the "problems concerning you" so bad?
