I'm just curious how many of you there are. I was actually surprised by the amount of women that responded saying they never want to have kids on the involuntary celibacy board that I used to go on.

Anyway, I never want to have them, it just seems like too much stress, too much responsibility, they suck all of your money out of you, and for all those years. I wouldn't even be able to cope with the baby crying everynight and the lack of sleep I'd be experiencing.

Plus I don't think I'd be any good at bringing kids up either. And the fact is, I just genuinley have no desire whatsoever to have any.

Anyway, I guess that one great thing about me being an involuntary celibate, is the fact that I know I'll never have any kids even by mistake.

I still don't wanna have kids, I'm one of them. I don't feel I have the qualities of being a mother and have no space for even one, it woudl be too much for me. Plus, you can't be too hard when disciplining them nor too easy, Since I don't believe in ever spanking a child, but at the same time I wouldn't know what to do if the child is stubborn or gives attitude or doesn't listeb, grr, just way too much for me.

Wow Ross,

I never want to have them, it just seems like too much stress, too much responsibility...

That is exactly what the Denver guy said (the guy I'm in love with):

The idea of having offspring holds no appeal to me and, while I don't dislike children, I'm unable to think of any possible attraction to having them that would be strong enough for me to be willing to make the tremendous compromises that would be necessary for me to have them.

(I told you you reminded me of him :))

I basically have no desire for kids. I've known since about 6th grade that I didn't want them.

Though on some rare occassions, it'll come into my head that it might be cool. Then I think about the reasons why I think that, and they're always selfish reasons. Like raising someone who could contribute something to the world where I failed. That's completely unfair to a child to place those kinds of expectations on them. And being able to pick a cool name for someone. That's no reason to have a kid.

I can't see any good reason for me to have them, and I don't think they'll contribute anything to the type of life I want for myself. They're just not right for me.

People keep telling me that I'm going to change my mind, but it still hasn't happened. In fact, now I'm even questioning whether I want to get married at all much less have kids. So I'm not sure when this mind changing is supposed to happen. I guess it's when my biological clock starts ticking, because for us women reason and logic are no match for biological impulses.

At this point in my life I have no desire to have any kids, but my mind may change sometime down the road.

Anyway, I never want to have them,

that's probably just as well...

Having kids could be cool but if it doesnt happen I'd be fine to the human race will probably survive if I dont have any...

I have no desire to have kids. I know I would be a terrible mother and the thought of losing my freedom to go where I want to go whenever I want to doesn't appeal to me. Everyone tells me I will change my mind but I keep telling them that its not going happen. It just doesn't seem like any part of it from being pregant, to child birth, to raising the child would be something that I personally would enjoy.

I'm sorry mate.

I'm sure you love them, but I take it you've got kids and you regret having them?

What makes you say that?

Anyway, I think it's just as well too, since obviously I've been designed to never reproduce. So obviously if I did I'd be going against nature. It's obviously made women not see me in a sexual way for a reason...

This has got to be one of the most self-pitying things I have ever read.

So... how is it 'obvious' that you have been 'designed' to never reproduce? Are you missing your... uh... 'equipment'?
