Thank, Brenda Brenda, If you don't mind a man's input, here's my two cents worth... I don't know you and I don't know your ex, so ignore me if you wish. If you separated because you wanted to and he didn't, then he was hurt and probably still is. If he still has feelings for you and you decide to go back with him, you better be damn sure you are ready for a longer term relationship with him. If you need to separate again, it will be harder than the last time and will most likely damage the remaining friendship permanantly. If you separated because he wanted to and you didn't, then you're probably better off cutting your losses and moving on. I can't really say since I don't know the circumstances of your separation, but in general, guys that are uncommitted tend to continue to be uncommitted. And you can never let yourself think that you can change someone. If you mutually agreed to stop seeing each other and now mutually agree to see each other again, then I would say go for it. Very few relationships fall into this catagory, but if you do, then I would say that both of you are mature beyond most of us (at least me) and are capable of creating a relationship that works.
