Guest.girl Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 He is a talkative person and enjoy chatting with his friends on messenger (BUT NOT ME). If he think that I can only be his platonic friend as opposed to a girlfriend, why does he have trouble chatting with me online? Why is he so nervous about saying the wrong thing? Sometimes I see him online and I try to chat with him but he gives me very little or no response. I am not sure whether he is so nervous about saying the wrong thing or is he simply not interested in me. Would his interest level in me increase if I keep initiating conversation with him on messenger and just keep talking to blank space? I really want this guy. Please give your blunt opinions here.
Tony T Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I wouldn't waste so much of your time worrying about this. His response is his response. ONLY he can tell you why. Meanwhile, you don't need someone in your life who's too nervous to chat with you online...much less in person...OR someone who may not be interested. Either way, you simply don't need him.

I am having similar kind of problem, not online though… My guy (crush)seems very layback and he expect me to say hi to him first all the time… but recently I just walk past him without saying anything and now he’ll tap me to get my attention, stand near me so I could see him and he say hi to me first now… Try not to chat to him for a while and see will he approach and chat to you first? I suppose that way at least you’ll find out if he remembers you and if you actually exist on his planet. I can't help much but at least worth a try.... tinkerbellxx
dgiirl Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Tony, well said. In either case, he's still not talking to you, so why are you wasting time on him?
Cheshire Cat Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Is he aware that you are interested in him? How does he act towards you when you see each other in person? Perhaps he is ignoring you on purpose because he does not want to give you false hope. Anyway, if you keep saying hi on messenger for a while it won't hurt. Even the most shy guys will say hello back to someone they are interested in (if they are around the computer in that moment). If he always stops talking after a short when you try to have a conversation with him, I guess you can take it as a sign he's not interested. In which case, you could enjoy the subtle pleasure of embarassing him with a "you might have realized I like you - you are not interested in me, are you?" and get a direct answer straight from him.
