norajane Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 People say "you'll just know" because only you will know the signs for when YOU are ready to marry. The thing is, it's not signs that you see in the other person. It is signs that you see within yourself and they're different for everyone. For me, it's seeing the emotional intimacy between us growing - seeing how easy it is for me to be open with him - and feeling calm and secure about our relationship, unswayed by anxiety and doubt. But it's different for everyone. When you "just know" you don't feel the need to ask the question of whether the person is right for you; you don't have that kind of doubt.
