Hi, I have posted before about my husband and I being seperated for 3 months. Well I talked to him today and I'm not sure what to do about it. To make a long story short my husband was unemployed for some time. He just got a job 4 months ago. He says that while he was unemployed I made him feel unworthy. Well I didnt see this happen at all. I thought I was there for him although he wasent working. But he says I did so I should beleive him and work on making it better. He says this is why he stays away becasue he does not feel good about himself. Well how can I make him feel good about himself when he is not around. I need suggestions on what I can do. I use to call him all the time, but when he wouldnt answer his phone it really made me upset. I beleive there is another woman but he denies it. I want to win him back because I know he still loves me and the kids. He tells me all the time that he loves me. Any suggestion on what I can do.

A lot of men's value and self worth is tied up in their occupation ~ their jobs.

 

Tie that with men's equating "love" with being appreciated

 

Now tie in his losing his job, and it taking four months for him to find a new one.

So, the thing that you need to do is start by showing how appreciative you are of him and for all that he's done for you and your family. Do it in big ways, and small ways.

 

Go on line and get a copy of the Book "Light His Fire" and "Romance 101" along with its compaion books "1001 Ways To Be Romantic" and "1001 More Ways To Be Romantic"

 

Don't let the titles throw you. While romnance is an element of the above, they're chocked full of ideas that will jump start your own independent thinking and provide you with an alternative perspective. The Romance series are a quick read, with most chapters no more than 2 to 3 pages long.

 

Then work on making him feel needed, such as "I wish I had a man around to _________________________, or along such lines.
