Lorca Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi, I just found this forum and had to post this for thoughts. I'm fairly new to online dating and this has happend to me once before, so I'm wondering what is going on since it happend again last weekend. I met a nice woman on match.com and we exchanged a few emails. I said "I'd love to meet you some time." She responded that she would love to meet me too and proceeded to give me her phone number. I called her the next day and got her voicemail. That felt kind of awkward, but I left a message anyway with my name and my phone number. She never called back! I know it's only Monday, but this happend to me once before. Where I met a nice girl on match and she gave me her phone number, it went to voicemail and she never returned my call. I'm thinking I was given a phone number (a good sign), but didn't get a return phone call (a bad sign). I really don't see the point of sending her more emails, since she gave me her phone number. So I'm wondering what gives?
Island Girl Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I for one, do not check my voicemail and I am horrible about calling people back sometimes. Especially if I am busy. If it is a dating situation, the girl could be subscribing to the belief that she should not be too available and that if you want to talk to her, you'll call back. Or she could have written your phone number down on a sticky note and then forgot where she stuck it. There are a million possibilities, why don't you just call her back?
Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 give her a call back again...or send her an email and casually say "hey i gave you a call but it went straight through to voicemail". I don't know about other females but im very forgetful and if someone leaves me a voicemail it takes me a few days to reply...give it time, try calling or emailing or chatting to her online. If shes not giving straight answers ask for one. No-one deserves to be stuffed around
