i used to work in a native american jewelry shop and my owner used to give me a bunch of jewelry and told me to design my own case to display the jewelry. now i get lay off from this job and got another job and i am jewelry merchandiser for a yr and 1/2.this company has certain angles and displays i have to follow. these are very hard for me since i am not good a geometry and i try my hardest. i think that they think i did this before and i think they don't know i am not experienced in this. i am afraid to tell them since i think i might be fired if i tell them i need alot of help since they come in and get pissed at me that the cases are not to design specifications.would u ask your DM for help and keep the job or step down from the position and use the excuse u want to go part time sales instead?

Tell them you'd like to become better at your job and would like some additional training in their way of disply. If you don't, you'll end up getting fired sooner or later anyway if you're always doing it wrong. There's nothing wrong in telling them that your experience was different and you want to learn how to do it their way.

Spot on. It's better to be seen to be trying to improve, than just floundering and doing nothing. :)
