Rob Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 What is my problem? I can never seem to smile at the girls!!! No matter how hard I try, I can't get a good smile going on!!! What can I do to smile more??? It seems the only time I can smile is when I think of something funny (usually at the INAPPROPRIATE time!!!) and never when I want to smile!!! Please help!

no name Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 try smiling immediately after you say hi (or good morning or whatever). at first you might have to be deliberate about it, but then eventually it will come naturally

People look to me for many things, endorsement of a product, affirmation of their choice, attention, etc. Basically I have practiced and practiced and my smile comes naturally now, even when I DON'T feel like smiling. You know the best thing about smiling? IT IS CONTAGIOUS!!! Try this; Today at work, when a co-worker starts talking with you, even if its a serious subject, plaster the biggest smile on your face that you can..... I guarantee you, without even knowing it, the co-worker will smile back. I have tried this many many times. A good place to practice? In the CAR. just plaster a big smile on your face. Especially if you are headed to pick up a date. By smiling in by the car the whole waY, your face will be "smile-ready" time you get there. It's just practice that's all.
