How to find a date

the problem is RIDDLER....at the bar the ratio of good to bad people is skewed more towards the bad ones than usual.

the best chicks I've known rarely, if ever, went to the bar. once again your youth and inexperience rears its ugly head

OK, seriously, is your only option of arguement anymore using my age?

There is stuff that you have no clue about either. Your consistant negativity to women is really nautious sometimes.

The point is that a bar is full of good and bad people. I am really not interested in a ratio. My point is that in order to meet a good one, or bad one, you must talk to them and get to know them.

I met my current GF at a bar and we are on our way to our 1-year anniversary.

Well,

I got a tip from a girl that I worked with, to go to a Happy Hour after work to some restaurants in the area where the business district was, since many of the guys went there after work.

She met some cute guys that way, but I never tried it.

I met my H at the local neighborhood sports bar/restaurant. The night I was there, all the local news guys/gals were there..the reporters, anchors, etc. They were celebrating something..don't remember what. I was there for dinner having just moved here and separated from my ex 3 days before. That's where met my H.

You know what they say...assume and you make an ASS...etc, etc.

Hey Touche,

Were you there by yourself?

Did you sit right at the bar or the restaurant part?

I've gone clubbing by myself but not to bars,

Oh,

Actually I have, now that I remember.

Once waiting for an appt I sat at the bar and talked to someone next to me that was pretty awkward, kind of, have-to-make-small-talk type thing.

And some other times I went for the salad-bar mainly, but sat on a table and didn't talk to anyone.

relationships that begin in a bar usually end in a bar.

Yes, I was there alone. I was at the bar waiting for a table when he walked up to order a drink and while waiting for the bartender, he started talking to me.

Every relationship is different.

Of course. In fact, we STILL (12 years later) occasionally go to that same place where we met. We play pool, air hockey and have a few laughs.

Yeee....

You wrote to me!

Oh, I was thinking that you didn't want to talk to me anymore either.

And aren't you lucky, just waiting for a table to clear and the soulmate guy just pops out of nowhere.

Anyway, thank you, I think I'll keep my options open while I see the fwb guy once in a while (since he is looking for a relationship).

Maybe we'll both find better matches this way (I'm afraid to get comfortable with him but hopefully he has better sense than I do).

We are regulars (somewhat) at the place that we met at. The house band music is getting old, but the drinks are cheap and its alot of fun.
