Michael426 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 What a mess! There is a woman who I went to high school with. We run into each other every couple of years. Earlier this year, we hooked up, and we started spending a lot of time with each other. But it wasn't for real. She called today to say she apologizes if she led me on, that she is committed to her marriage. Of course that makes sense. But I said that our 30-year friendship was now over. I feel deceived, used. She says it was all in my own mind, that she didn't deliberately do anything. I know she did, I fell for it, and now she says leave her alone. So I told her that if we run into each other again (and I'm sure we will, it's a small town), pretend that you don't know me, and I'll ignore you too. OK, so that's not a question. But I'm upset anyway.
