amgine Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I've just accidently posted this elsewhere by mistake think it belongs here. Apologies One afternoon i bumped into an acquaintance of mine. Yes the married one. The next morning i bumped into him again on my way to work Lunchtime again i saw him as i grabbed something to eat. That's 3 times in less than 24 hours. He joked about it. "People will begin to talk" This was in earshot of one of his work colleagues Is it always said in humour

If his colleague is unaware of whatever is going on between you, he will just think he's trying to flirt with you (and perhaps pay more attention to your conversations with MM in future). People are nosy. But he might just not have heard - or paid attention.
Joelle Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Truthfully, I think that's an innocent joke, especially if there's nothing going on. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it.
silktricks Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Is it always said in humour Are you hoping that it was not?
whichwayisup Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 You can't control what people think or say...Some people go out of their way to find stuff to gossip about.
Author amgine Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 Thanks for the replies so far I know his colleague (she) i know most of them. Though i don't think she heard or took it on board well she never mentioned it afterwards.
BlueEyedGirl Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Sometimes we read more into things that there really is. Just the fact that you are posting a thread (or 2) about this tells me that you are interested/attracted to this guy. Imagine if you bumped into some guy you couldn't care less about 3 times in 24 hours and he made the same joke, you wouldn't give it a second thought.
