melon Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I have a class with an ex I haven't seen, talked to or heard from (or even heard about) in over a year. It was a bad breakup, and for the first week of class I had hoped to just ignor the situation (big lecture, so it would be possible). but the tension really has me stressed. i don't know what to do, but think it will be really difficult for me to not somehow do or say something. I just want to make sure whatever I do is the "right" thing.
swirly27 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Melon, Why do you think after a year of NC that it is still stressing you out soooo much? I think the right thing to do, if it upsets you this much, is to just go to class and ignore the ex. IF you happen to run into the ex and they talk to you, act casual and go on your merry way. For some reason, you are not completely healed and you don't want to do anything to upset yourself any further.
quankanne Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 "kill 'em with kindness" is my motto, because it creates a win-win situation: either they will respond graciously or they'll be jackasses, which leaves you looking good.
