Woggle Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Men have a tendency to want to be the hero and the rescuer. It is in our nature so when we see a woman in distress we are drawn to them. We love to help out a woman with low self esteem or who is in trouble but it tends to backfire on us. These women never develop a sense of self and are always insecure. If you marry one of them one day they might start losing weight and they will leave you to go find themselves and see if they can live in their own. They are always on a quest to find themselves and they are always finding the new them. It is much better to find a woman with her head together when you meet so she has something that she can contribute to building a foundation as well.
Touche Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Too fricking funny! I love the part about that if you marry them they start losing weight! THE WOGGLE DIET! :lmao:
Author Woggle Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Too fricking funny! I love the part about that if you marry them they start losing weight! THE WOGGLE DIET! :lmao: When a woman starts losing weight a man should be on the lookout for divorce. It is because the woman is not confident in herself and when she starts losing weight and getting attention from other men she wants a taste of the single life again. A confident woman will not have this issue.
magichands Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Okay then... Oh no...a classic case. I sense you were going to say something really profound before your insecurity kicked in. If you're in a relationship right now it's only a matter of time before you get bored, lose that muffin top, and dump him. But don't worry, as a commitment-phobe I am always on the lookout for fixer-uppers. Nothing better than to hook up with someone as predictable as me.

A confident woman will not have this issue. That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard! I get PLENTY of attention from other men, I'll have you know. And yes, I'm thin. I've been married for over eleven years now. Yes, I don't mind the attention but I have NO desire..I repeat NO DESIRE to ever be single again. Where do you come up with this crap anyway?
Sand&Water Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Woggle, True. . . to some extent. You're categorizing women who target men in shining armor because it simplifies the mysteries of women with low self-esteem, et al. This is bad, very bad, to accept, believe and practice as a man. I do believe men should not play the knight in shining armor. It restricts the very essence of independence and maturity.
burning 4 revenge Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 But they do always leave when they lose the weight
Adunaphel Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Perhaps the best strategy is to pick women who are in mild distress. Take women stuck somewhere with a flat tire (I think they are a favourite of Kings-in-shining-armor's romantic rescue-the-princess fantasies repertoire). Avoid the one who is sobbing incontrollabgly and trying to cut her wristes with a nail file (low esteem and drama queen) and the one who is replacing it on her own cursing profanities that would make a death metal vocalist blush. The one who is keeping calm and looking for help or is trying to do something about it keeping a shred of class could be a good catch...
Author Woggle Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Read the divorce forum. You always read about men who had their wives walk out on them and their wives started to lose weight. When you take an insecure woman and make her physically attractive it can spell trouble.
Touche Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 So what happens to an insecure woman who has always been considered attractive?

I hope things are fine with your W.

Since I have my life in order I figure I will stick around to spread my knowledge to other men.
Touche Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Spread your knowledge to other men? What knowlege?

rainfall Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 But they do always leave when they lose the weight No we don't. I lost 30 pounds and I am no desire to be with anyone esle ever. He loved me when I was a little fatty so why should I leave him now just because I am skinny?

lindya Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Spread your knowledge to other men? What knowlege? The knowledge he gleans from reading divorce forums...those well known havens of objective, baggage-free thinking.
a4a Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 So what happens to an insecure woman who has always been considered attractive? I think she gets a new hairdo or something..... oh no I remember now..... she buys a new pair of shoes before she starts heading for the door. :lmao:
stoopid_guy Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 The knowledge he gleans from reading divorce forums...those well known havens of objective, baggage-free thinking. "Objective, baggage-free thinking" == "insecure," in this case?
a4a Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 well I fix my own flats unless I am not dressed to do so.......not going to ruin a nice outfit when you can simply call Mr. Fix it. However I will stand looking at the tire calling it various names if I was in a hurry. I must admit I have lost 2 lbs this week...... My H is doomed. Word of warning ladies........ those knights in shining armor usually turn out to be a loser in aluminum foil.
Spinderella Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I think she gets a new hairdo or something..... oh no I remember now..... she buys a new pair of shoes before she starts heading for the door. :lmao: Yes, but you should never give your lady money, or allow her to have a job, because she might buy new clothes or shoes, and then she will be off.
a4a Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I wonder if this is actually a well known theory and that is why men who marry thin women may actually attempt to get them fat........ hummmmm?
Spinderella Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Actually, I have known this happen in reverse. I have known women who kept their men fat, so that they wouldn't stray. They havent strayed yet, so it must work!
