You should just leave him alone. If he truly has problems he needs to be allowed to work them out on his own. Contacting him and telling him what his problems are is only going to likely make him and you feel worse.

I know what you mean, and it's good to finally work out why things went wrong, what faults your ex or you had in your relationship, etc. Sometimes you feel like you just need to get it out there and say it, right? Maybe it would help him, but, more than likely it will make him mad because he won't be able to see or be willing to accept his faults.

I wouldn't recommend contacting him, it will only open up communication again and probably in a negative way. Plus, he may respond in an abusive way and switch it round on you and start telling you your faults (or making them up to get back at you!) Keep up with NC, and keep thinking of his faults to put yourself off contacting him!

Maybe you could write a letter/text/email to get it all off your chest, but not send it?

Just out of interest, what did you work out was wrong with him? You don't have to answer, it's none of my business- I'm just being curious!
