Me and the wife are separated at this time & I was just wondering if it would end in a divorce and if I would start dating again what would the the other woman think of some of the crazy things I eat that most people probably don't think are to common???

For those who are divorced and have met another partner what kind of crazy foods do either of you eat that kind of shocked the other person???

Here is my example, both me & my boy like popcorn & buttermilk, it is something my family (including uncles & aunts) has eaten for years. You eat it like you would cereal and another one is peanut butter & pickle sandwhichs, I've been eating those for over 40 years.

Just wondering what some other things are people eat that are different??

I like to eat Fruity Pebbles with Bacardi, but I don't think I would do it on a first date.

I'm shocked by a lot of 'normal' foods people eat...potato salad? WTF is that? Ick.

So, no, popcorn and buttermilk wouldn't bother me in the least.

Potato chips dipped in cottage cheese.

When I came to the United States I was shocked by the food habits here. Everything is so different from Europe.

You get like 7 fried and greasy pieces of different foods in one plate and you eat it with a toast that has butter on it (as if there is not enough fat in the plate).

You eat veggies with creamy dips or cheese sauce. Why make healthy and low-calorie food unhealthy and fattening? We put oil and vinegar in a salad, that's it. Sometimes mayo.

All salads are 90% lettuce. I think I became allergic to lettuce. What happened to tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, peppers, raddishes...?

Your pan cakes are thick and you eat them with syrup. Ours are thin and we fill them with chocolate or jam and roll them or fold them.

We don't eat breaded, fried wings or onions.

We eat lox with butter, you eat it with cream cheese.

We put ketchup on pizza, you put garlic powder.

We buy fresh bread every day.

We don't put some much preservatives in the food. Our food gets spoiled after 3 days in the fridge.

When I came to the US, I realized why so many people are fat here. :D Naturally a thing like peanut butter-and-jelly sandwich "looks good on one's thighs." ;):p:laugh:

I have to absolutely concur that the food in alot parts of europe is way higher quality then what we have here (that is easily accessable and affordable) in the states. I love eating when I'm over there; then I come back here after a couple weeks abroad and see our vegetables and bread and just wonder why we live like this.

I tend to stick with ethnic markets and bakeries, but I live in South Florida so it's easy

Lox with BUTTER? I've NEVER heard that one and I'm from this country (US). I've always only eaten and seen it eaten with cream cheese.

Blackfrost, you can grow your own veggies and make your own bread. I've been eating heirloom tomatoes that I grow for months now. They're SO good! I'm going to miss them as the season is winding down.

I like to eat tripe. My husband hates when I make it as he says it stinks up the whole house.

One of my favorite things is egg noodles mixed with butter, sour cream and cottage cheese. I mix that all up in a pot and grate fresh parmesan cheese over it...YUM!

I have to pour milk on chili. Can't eat chili without milk - skim of course! :)

I gag even at the thought of tripe

I'm a dunker and I grew up having a cup of tea and dunking in toast with butter and strawberry preserves - the preserves would fall out and into the tea so I would spoon that! Or - put enough graham crackers in the tea until it becomes a spoonable mush!

Plain rice cakes with a little garlic or onion powder and butter buds is good for a crunchy snack.

Raw onions. I love raw onions. followed by a lemon - quartered and eat the quarters whole - peel and all.

Reminds me of the days, when I lived in Europe and Africa. The food is delicious, and fresh. Oh and the fruits!

One of my weirdest food combos: Honey and feta cheese with peta bread.

I love peas and most veggies. I can't do asparagus or sweet potatoes and i'm not much for artichokes.

I like dipping french fries in chocolate cream and I'll have icecream cones with flavors that do not match (like lemon sorbet and whipped cream).

I have a fetish for Haribo jelly crocodiles (I'll occasionally throw green ones in my martini like they were olives).

Well the onion part I can't agree with but I am all over the being a pickle eater. Between me & my son we can go thru a jar in a couple days, specially the little ones.

So what made you start eating the stuff you didn't like when you were younger? I need to change my eating habits to stuff that is more healthy for me & I just can't do onions or peppers.

Frozen peas, corn, beans, I like but asparagus and sweet potatoes I just can't do either.

I head cousins who would put chocolate spread on bread and white cheese such as Feta on top of it.

I don't know if it's weird, but I love buiscuits such as Petit Beurre crushed in warm milk. I don't recommend this unless you want to gain weight.
