Onlinedater Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Here is a question regarding online dating. I wrote to a woman I saw listed on a dating site. I wrote a short letter describing myself, and I said that I was planning a trip to her city, about a 2 1/2 hour drive away, and asking if she might like to meet for dinner. She wrote back about 3 days later (and after the date I planned to drive to her city) that if was very short notice, and that she had a personality similar to mine in some respects. On the same day I got her short note, I wrote her back, and simply wrote about the restaurants I liked in her city, and encouraged her to call me anytime and left my cell number, and home number. I did not receive a reply for over a couple of weeks. I did include my photo with my first contact, so she knows what i look like. According to her profile, and what she is looking for, I seem to be a match at least on paper. I must say, that her description of herself might be interpreted as being a bit conceeded perhaps..." I have a firm and toned body, and look even better in person." I am not desperate by any means, since I am a self-confident, physically fit, successful person, but I wonder if I should write back because she does fit what I am looking in many ways. It does confuse me why she would take the trouble to respond to my first letter, and then ignore my subsequent note.
