james007 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 It is my theory that women are the ones to do the dumping in the majority of relationships. I'd say 75-80% of relationships involve the woman doing the dumping. I think we men have more tolerance for imperfection and problems in a relationship than women do and that's why women do the majority of the dumping.
superconductor Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Stats show that more divorce proceedings are started by women. Don't know about non-marriage relationships though. I don't know about your theory regarding imperfection. I think it's got more to do with the fact that men don't put 100% of themselves into their relationship 100% of the time, but many women seem to expect that.
Guest Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I don't know... my boyfriend just broke up with me after one year and wedding plans... because he "doesn't know what he wants", and he has been completely avoiding me for 1 month... what is wrong with him?
thekhris Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 woman does the dumping more than man and man does the cheating more than woman.. but in long term ralationships i think girls cheats more than man.

Yes. Women love infidelity. It's drama and it gets their juices flowing (literally). Don't blieve me-look at the infidelity boards on this forum. Who's posting and who's commenting 90 percent of the time -women. Look at their romance novels full of young hunky strangers come to deliver them from the mundane trappings of till death do us part. They eat that sh*t up man. They love that stuff. And, yes, they also usually do the dumping. Some of it is our fault though. If we weren't so eager to just get off in some hole then we wouldn't have to feel so threatened in our relationships. We make it far too easy for them IMHO.

lindya Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I don't know. I think in many cases it's hard to identify who did the actual dumping. I've ended a relationship because I got cheated on, but I certainly didn't feel like the dumper. More like the dumpee signing a formality.
dgiirl Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Stats show that more divorce proceedings are started by women. Don't know about non-marriage relationships though. Unfortunately, this stat could still mean so many things. How many of those relationships ended because the husband was cheating? Because the husband left the house? Because the woman wanted something new? Technically, I filed for the divorce. However, it was after 5 months my exh litterally abanadoned me. So you cant say I was the dumper. All that stat really proves is when something needs to get done, woman are more likely to accomplish it. Which makes sense because traditionally, the woman's role is suppose to handle all the house chores. Paying bills, signing kids up to little league, filing for a divorce
