SadandConfusedWA Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I am always being told that I look much better in real life than I do in the photos. Not very useful when you are trying to meet someone through dating sites...
P1xie Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 My question is this, in the most general terms possible, Do Average or Homely men have to work much harder to maintain relationships with women than handsome men do? Are handsome men's faults overlooked more than an average/homely guy's faults? His question was not if handsome men have it easier. His question seems to be if average or homely men have to work harder to maintain a relationship. I just don't believe that looks are going to help maintain a relationship. I've been with hot guys and average guys but their looks did not make me want to stay longer in a bad relationship. I stayed in a **it *ss relationship with a guy that most would not consider hot. I think if I posted his pic on hot or not he would be lucky to get a 5. Obviously when I first met him there was more to him than his looks. The hot guy I only stayed with for 3 months because he was extremely abusive. Did the thought ever cross my mind I can't leave him he's so good looking. Hell NO! Looks cannot maintain your relationship! I would not overlook being mean, rude, abusive etc just because a guy is good looking.
