Well...

Went out with someone for the first time on Saturday night. We really seemed to click. Things started to get hot and heavy, and we ended up practically all over each other for a few hours, but no sex, as I don't feel as though I know him well enough yet. I could tell he was a bit dissapointed that things didn't go a bit further. It's not that I didn't want to...just that I'd like him to be more than just a booty call in the future.

Fast forward to two days after the date. He sent me an email saying he had a great time, he hoped I enjoyed "dinner", and that he'd call me soon as he was really busy with a certain business deal of his that is finally going through.

Is this a guy's way of giving someone the brush off?? It certainly feels that way to me. If he'd wanted to see me, he could have tentatively planned a date in that same email...Sigh. I guess I'd just like to know if I should keep some time open this weekend, or make plans elsewhere.

Make plans, but don't write him off or think too much into this. Sounds innocent to me. At least he took the time to let you know what was going on. If you hadn't spoken to him, then I'd understand questioning his sincerity.

I'd make plans, and set plans to see him another time. I'd like having a chance to be "busy" as well. I don't like always being available especially in the beginning stages.

Yeah, I just finished making plans with someone else for Friday. Looks like Saturday will end up getting booked by tomorrow probably. lol. The following weekend I'll be out of town visiting an old friend of mine whom I used to date....

You snooze you lose! Oh well!

It's too bad though. I was soooo attracted to him. I'm still holding onto a sliver of hope, but I guess he probably won't be calling?

I agree with Buttaflyy. Sounds innocent. Its not a brush off... yet. He made contact. He could've NOT made contact. Granted, email is pretty impersonal, but he may not want to be coming off as too needy- OMG, the other night was heaven... please lets get together again... i could'nt stop thinking about you... it was amazing.... i hope your not busy tonight because i want to get together again becaise i frackin' wet myself just thinking about the chemistry we had that night... are you free... i think we are soooo meant to be... even though was didn't get freaky with it, i understand and still want to be with you and see what more can become of this... are you free today, tommorow, this weekend, for the rest of your life?

Come on, you had one date. He checked in- had a great time babe... call you later. He'll probably call back within a week and set up something with you. If your busy, pick another day. Just don't frack him too soon. See if he's still calling you because he really wants you and not just your 'flower'...

And it seems to me you put "dinner" in quotes like you expected him to mention something about the 'other' stuff you did that night. If it were me, I wouldn't be mentioning the groping and face sucking either- hey babe, thanks for the dinner and the makeout session... call you soon... It just doesn't seem appropriate to mention, since you both obviously know it happened. Do you really need to be thanked about it or fawned over about it? Was he into it? You already know he was... Just wait for the call, but don't put your life on hold for it either...

Nah, I wasn't expecting him to do that. That would have been a bit tacky. I just don't like having to wait is all. lol. I like to have my plans for the weekend set by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Ha, your post made me laugh though. Thanks. lol.

And while I didn't expect him to (or want him to) fawn over me, I would have liked it if he could have said "let's do it again some time". I hate playing games. If you like me and want to see me again, tell me so. Don't think that I'm going to think you're too needy or desperate. If I had that low of an opinion of you, I wouldn't have said yes to the date in the first place. I figure most people say what they mean. If he'd wanted to go out again, he should've said so probably.

So I figure I won't wait, and will make other plans.
