Sally00 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Do you know any needy people? What are some of the things they have done to be needy? And when I say needy, I mean NEEEEEDY. Liiiiike... I have a friend who called her boyfriend-at-the-time literally 40 times within about an hour. He was asleep... When he checked his phone, he nearly died when he saw he had 40 missed calls... he thought someone died. Apparently, she just wanted to say hi. lol. So you know... intense things like that... or little things. HEE HEE.
lovestruck234 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I have a friend who's needy.... It drives me insane. She'll write me a txt and if I don't write back she's ringing me "WHY DIDN'T YOU WRITE BACK??" Maybe cos I have more to do than sit looking at my phone all day?? It's a big turn-off in relationships as well. I had a bf who when I was at school, he went to another school and the amount of times he would ring me in class and have my phone taken off me by teachers was incredible. (There was a no-phone policy at our school)... It just gets tiring. Sometimes you just feel like picking up and going "Hey, what do you think about f*ck off?" My bf gets a little obsessed sometimes. Like I'll have about 7 missed calls when I have just driven back home from his house. I'll ring him back and he's like "Just making sure you got home safe!" Lol, but he's different...I love him! Lol

Most sane guys would dump a woman in a fraction of a second who pulled this type of stunt. I, personally, would be frightened of anybody who would call me 40 times within an hour. One message is always sufficient. If I don't call back, that's the strongest response you could get.

Walk Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Can I ask why you are asking this question? Are you concerned you are being too needy? Not giving your SO enough space? Or just a random conversation starter you wanted to toss out there?
Pink Amulet Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I have to ask, is this a stem off from your "I want to go with him to his job interview" thread?
soberminded Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Would it be needy for me to call my girlfriend 3 times per day? What are the rules on this?

Or just a random conversation starter you wanted to toss out there? I have to ask, is this a stem off from your "I want to go with him to his job interview" thread? LOL no, I'm not concerned about being needy. I give him plenty of space. Not even worried about that. And it's not from that thread and not even about me. The whole thing with some people bringing up the whole needy factor over the fact of me just wanting to casually come along with my boyfriend... yeah, I thought it was funny. Then it just reminded me of a couple friends who were truly needy and I just thought I'd see other people's situations... just for giggles. Like a friend of mine calling 40 times in an hour. HaHa. Would it be needy for me to call my girlfriend 3 times per day? What are the rules on this? 3 times EVERY day? I think it's a bit much? I don't know... depends on how long ya'll talk, I guess. How long DO ya'll talk for each of those times? Whatever works for the both of you is totally fine. It's up to YA'LL, not us. My boyfriend calls me everyday after work... every now and then around lunch time during his break. But it'll be different soon because our classes have started and we'll both be pretty busy.
soberminded Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Each phone call would last approximately 15-20 minutes. I call her 3 times per day.
lovestruck234 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Each phone call would last approximately 15-20 minutes. I call her 3 times per day. Wow, I wish MY bf would call 3 times a day....I'm lucky to get a txt and that's on a good day!! The ONLY time I will EVER get a phone call is if he needs to tell me something important, I forgot something at his house, or if I'm just on my way home from his house and he calls to see if I got home safe. He;s weird like that, cos then he won't call AT ALL during the day while him and I are at work... I'm usually the one doing the phone call thing...he tells me "But you're the girl...you're good at chatting on the phone....and girls love ringing people..." It's no big deal. I wish sometimes we could have a little spontaneousity in our relationship though...
