I can see it all clearly, John wants vindication and that's exactly what he'll get.

He'll have his little calling rules, and with hold sex and compliments and attention. And then his lady friend will dump him and he will be able to come on here and crow "See,? I told you i was right she had another guy lined up that's why she was behaving that way."

And he can do it all again and again. Don't you get it John, it's You that's making women behave in this way, not the other way round. You can be right in your mind, but you'll be right and you'll be lonely cos no women will stick around to be questioned and controlled all the time.

The thing is when a woman's interest level slowly drops she may not be consciously aware of it herself. But she will give subtle clues over time that her interest level is dropping. The good news is that if the guy detects it early enough he has the highest chance of salvaging the relationship before it's too late.

How low would her interest level have to drop before it's too late? I would estimate anywhere below 60%. How can he salvage his relationship? By being a challenge and being unpredictable. Don't call at the same intervals or too many times per day. Don't apologize when you have done nothing wrong. Don't buy gifts every month. Don't initiate sex every time you see her and don't see her everyday. How much bordeom can a woman take from your constant presence & gifts and affection?

A balanced man gives 60% of his time to his job/career, education, parents, friends, hobbies, volunteer work, exercise, & 40% of his time to his girlfriend. Don't always be the one to initiate the words "I love you." Don't always be the one to reciprocate with the words "I love you." Sometimes reply by saying "ditto". With a smile of course.

John,

You need to stop reading the books by Mr. Deangelo. :p

Actually this past week I have once again proven that my theory about her is correct. That theory is that the more I call her the less she calls me. The less I call her the more she calls me. I actually got soft for awhile last week and stopped being a challenge by calling her 3 days in a row. That was Wednseday, Thursday, & Friday.

Uh... duh. Why would she call you if she was already talking to you? Then when she didn't talk to you (because neither of you picked up the phone) she picked up the slack and called you.

Thats how it's supposed to work. Not about "pulling back". Its sharing the effort. You're mentality is about an inch outside of that of a childs. Still so "me me me me me me me me"

Would you like a sign that says "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!"

Why does he have two different, nearly identical screen names?

How am I supposed to put him on ignore if he keeps changing his name by one digit every day?

I don't think that it is David DeAngelo, I think it is Doc Love. He is one of the advisors on askmen.com.

He uses catch phrases like "interest level" and breaks your life down into percentages. A "balanced man" spends "x" percentage of his time blah blah blah. I can't understand how or why anyone would want to live their life by all of these rules--which are totally arbitrary.

Like the calling thing. If you are in a relationship, someone is going to have to call the other at some point. It stands to reason that if you call her, she has spoken to you so she doesn't NEED to call you. If you don't call her, and she wants to talk, she will call you. Just keeping track of how and when to call would drive a balanced man INSANE, I think.

My girlfriend calls me way more than I call her. Why? Because she wants to talk to me throughout the day, that's why. I want to talk to her, too, but I don't have to worry about it because she calls me. Also, she gets busy at odd times at work, while I am on call and as a result always available. It's easier for her to pick the time to call because she knows when she is slow. Of course, writing this is more time spent thinking of this than I have ever put in before.

I don't sit around wondering if my girlfriend is going to break up with me or not. I have enough to think about having fun with her and talking than to worry if she's going to split.

Number one on this list should be: Your girlfriend is going to break up with you because you make lame lists about what girls do when they are about to break up with you.
