This is sort of a random question but I thought I'd bring it up anyway - I was in the Build A Bear Workshop the other day, cause I'm thinking about making my boyfriend a bear for his birthday - I loooove that store so much, why did they not have this when I was a kid!? - and I noticed that they are having a "Casting Call" of sorts, for kids between 8 - 12. Apparently they are making a movie of that "Alice" book series, and are having a promotion that kids can audition for it, either in store or sending in tapes.

That's the kind of thing that I would have loved to do as a kid - I'm thinking about either taking my younger cousins to one, or helping them make a tape. I think it'd be good fun bonding because I don't see them as much as I should. Have any of you done anything like this with your kids? I want to make sure that it's about the "fun" part about doing it, not about the "competition" or "what if I don't win" angle... I guess either way, there'd be stuffed animals involved, which is always good!
