Ok, first I admit you don't have much to go on, but here goes... I am a guy who wants to lose weight, to go from a BMI of 23.6 to a BMI of 19.7. I have a girlfriend who I've been in a relationship with for about 2 years. What is the chance that my girlfriend won't be attracted to me when I finish losing weight? If you had a boyfriend who got slimmer, would you still be attracted to him? I know it sounds a silly question, but I have my reasons.

Thanks.

Two thousand LSers might like skinny guys - doesn't mean your gf will. The ONLY person who can tell you if she'd like you thinner is her.

What are your reasons for thinking she won't be attracted to you?? Both bmi's are within a healthy range so it should not be a big deal to your gf.

Your current BMI is excellent and very healthy, depending on your height. Why do you want to get thinner? I think there's a disease assigned to that sort of thing.

i agree with outcast, why don't you just ask her yourself? It's such a preference based question, each to their own.

A BMI is dependent upon your height.

I don't understand why you would think she would not be attracted to you any more?

Why exactly are you losing the weight? Are you losing it in a healthy manner (good food, and excercise)? Why would she not want you to be fit and healthy?

If she told you "I love the way you exactly the way you are, if you changed, I wouldn't be as attracted to you"... she is lying to make you feel good.
