Citizen Erased Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Okay I am going crazy and have to get this off my chest. I have not had my monthly "visitors" yet, and I believe it has been 5 weeks now. I have never in my whole life had my period come at different times. It was like my body last week knew I was meant to but it just didn't happen. I am really becoming paranoid. This is the worse possible time that it could possibly happen. I am going back to Uni to finish my degree next year, my boyfriend and I do not have enough money, I am definetely not prepared to be a mother. My mother had my sister because she couldn't have an abortion, but she treated us like dirt until we finally were able to leave home. Not once did I ever hear her say something which had any emotion other then disdain when addressing me. I do not want that for any child of mine, but I would seriously regret my life if I was forced to give up having a career. I know that is horrible but I have always wanted to have something more then what my mother had in her life. I dont ever want to be as bitter and hateful a person as her. See, all of this before I even have confirmation. I have read somewhere though that you are meant to have a pregancy test closer to when you are meant to have your period, as it is more likely to work. I dont know if I can wait that long! OMG im freaking out.
Green Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Just go take the test. If you dont want a baby you can always give it up for adoption or have an abortion.
allina Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 if it has been 5 weeks since your period take a pregnancy test, it's been long enough for accurate results.
Author Citizen Erased Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 That is just the thing. At the thought of a baby I melt. I would love to have a child, but just not at this point in time. I just don't know if I could give a child up for adoption, and I don't exactly relish the idea of having to see a therapist for the rest of my life because I have killed my own child.
Green Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 hahah you better not kill your own child you cute little psyco you. you'll be fine stop worying so much you'll be like a hero to some family who wants a baby if you give it up for adoption, and hell if you want to kill it just get an abortion. I bet your not even pregnant you called this hole thing paranoia you know ur body u probably know ur not preg

Before you drive yourself crazy with all this stuff, find out if you're even pregnant. A late period can be caused by many other factors as well.

Pink Amulet Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Avoid using the expression "killing your own child" please.
Author Citizen Erased Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 Avoid using the expression "killing your own child" please. Sorry, I wasn't thinking when I wrote that and couldn't edit because someone posted straight after.
superconductor Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Coco, calm yourself. Get your facts straight first. Erratic menstrual cycles are a fact of life, especially when you're under stress. But you already know that anyway. And, by the way, women who have abortions are, by and large, not scarred for life.

I know! It has just been a fear of mine that I would be pregnant at a young age. I didn't get the fear of God put into me by my parents so I would stay a Virgin, I got the fear of Pregnancy. Okay I am going to have some coffee and then try to get some rest.
tinktronik Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Avoid using the expression "killing your own child" please. Pink,If that's how the op feels about it , why can't she say that?
TheSilentType Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Okay I am going crazy and have to get this off my chest. I have not had my monthly "visitors" yet, and I believe it has been 5 weeks now. I have never in my whole life had my period come at different times. It was like my body last week knew I was meant to but it just didn't happen. Man, I am so glad I never have to deal with this. Its good to be male. Hopefully, its just an innocent scare...
norajane Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Man, I am so glad I never have to deal with this. Its good to be male. It's not like women get pregnant all by themselves. Men have to deal with pregnancy scares too.
TheSilentType Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Yes, maybe. But if a girl I was seeing told me she was pregnant, I'd be like, "Who are you again? What was your name? Do I know you?" Then I'd walk away and drink a beer. Out of sight and out of mind. just kidding! I'm not such a low life....
Pink Amulet Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Pink,If that's how the op feels about it , why can't she say that? Don't f*cking start. I am not in the mood. Just be realistic about the sensitivity one should adopt when dealing with a contraversial issue on a public forum of this nature. Remaining neutral regardless of your opinions so as to not incite hateful, or offensive remarks is an imperative function of a loving online community. We are all intitled to an opinion and the freedom to voice it, I just asked that she broach this particular subject with a degree of sensitivity. There is no rule to say she could not use this description of a woman who has an abortion I was just very offended and implied this was not entirely appropriate, which she acknowledged.

I tried to sleep but couldn't, so I thought I'd come on here. B4R thanks for your congratulations, but I have to tell you that you are in fact the father. *B4R runs off into the distance* Tink, I think that what Pink meant was that some people whom have gone through abortion would read my comment and feel like I'd just slapped them in the face. No matter my feelings or views, I should have used some tact. So yeah... im fretting. I am not a fretter, but I am right now. My boyfriend is away so I haven't even told him. I'll wait til I know for sure to give him a heart attack.

Watch the attitude there sugar puss . No need to stretch the claws out . I asked you a question , did not jump all over you . You are right there is no rule against voicing her opinion .I simply asked why you felt the need to ask her to refrain from her opinion .

By the way Coco , you can go ahead and take a test , 5 weeks should give you a result .Try to get some sleep .

OMG im freaking out. First of all, theres no need to worry until u need to worry...definitely get a test done, and dont wait, if its already past your period go ahead and get a test today and give it a try... I will admit im a guy, but someone who has been in that same situation more times than not... so try not to worry about it until after you have taken 2 pregnancy test(just to ease your mind twice). I have been with many girls that said they always have their period at the same time and they are never late, but guess what, they were that month, so it may be alright after all... take a deep breath, give it a shot, and IF you truly are pregnant, then come back on and give another post...i will be watching...and dont worry cause either way it will be alright
