Allright guys, im about 5'5'' (ok so what im short lol) and 134 pounds and very athletic...broad shoulders and large framed. I can bench about 235...260 when i was lifting regularly...and i run about 5-6 miles almost daily. I train rigorously...normally lifting weights for about an hour and a half on top of running 5-6 miles almost daily. My problem is that my torso and chest are still kinda flabby...my chest more so than my torso. I also seem to gain weight alarmingly fast whenever i eat more more than what im used to...like by the next day i look flabbier! I dont eat very much for a guy my age (19) i guess but i dont really ever go hungry throughout the day so i dont think its like im crash dieting. What can i do to get rid of this flab around my chest and abs..particularly chest? Whats wrong with this picture? By now i should look like a calvin klein underwear model! (O ya and i did like used to weigh 198 my sophomore year and been losing weight every summer since then if that gives you any more info)

Goropeza, some people, depending on the genetic cr@pshoot, that was handed down by their parents, will never look like calvin klein underwear models - no matter how much they train. If you really want to lose that last bit of flabbiness and fat layer - it's more about diet then training. Go here xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and read up on the types of diet calibration that bodybuilders go through when they are trying to get definition (which usually means fat levels of 10% or less). Also, you can get yourself a bodyfat test, and find out where you are at currently. If you are flabby you're most likely in the 15% - 20% range - and I know from experience that it is hard as hell, and a major amount of discipline and work to get into the 8%-10% range.

Good luck yo! Working out is good for soul as well as your body

The same body chemistry that allow you to gain muscle easily allows you to gain fat easily too. I know where you're coming from. I'm in my thirties and with a few months training I can bench press about 350 pounds. I'm strong as an ox, even when not training, but I've got body fat. It comes with the territory. If you're like me, you'll be able to get down to about %15 with training and diet, but it will probably stick there without serious dietary restriction. If you try and drop more fat, you will start losing muscle too. I also got real fat, real quick when I let my self eat whatever for a couple years. I'm still working off that weight. Just enjoy the positives of who you are and don't focus so hard on the negatives.
