No, RP knows how I actually do feel that she has the choice from my posts on the other thread. And no, I wasn't beating her with the Bible or preaching to her. I am not even going to get in a debate about abortion, because RP deserves better including love and support. I am pretty sure she knows exactly what I mean, and I am quite sure and hope she knows that I mean that in concern for her...certainly not in condemnation. My posts on the other thread give indication of this.

 

My only concern with this statement is that she made the decision. She has assured us she has, but the quote gives indication...and her posts here at the beginning...that she had different thoughts before her abortion.

 

Reading her other thread and last answers says she is content with her decision.

 

Could I have singlehandedly changed her mind? No. I wouldn't try. However, her other thread gave every indication that she wanted feedback regarding her pregnancy and what she should do. Many people including myself have done that.

 

But, you are right. It is now over. And you both are correct...this is no time to secondguess. I apologize if...and I can see how it does...look like I am "beating it with a Bible"...or shal I say stating that God would/will help her.

James, women who terminate their pregnancies, as well as women who have babies, all go through emotional roller-coasters when they find out they are pregnant. All kinds of feelings come up and they change from moment to moment. The hormones also kick in and have their own colorful effects. Of course she had a million thoughts and feelings throughout! That's why she started her threads - to help sort them out in her head and in her heart by writing them out as they occur.

 

Remember Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus? Men state facts when they talk. Women think out loud.

Nora, good point, I hope she was off the roller coaster with her final decision.

 

Side note, you mentioned that men state facts. There have been a couple of times that I talked while thinking out loud. It drove my wife wild. She couldn't handle my fluctuating as I talked! Yes, she thinks as she talks out loud. No, she hasn't changed...even though I "shouldn't" do it!
