CarmenCbC Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I know that after a break up you are bound to have good days and bad days. This is one of my bad days. The NC is starting to get to me.I miss him alot, although I know so very well he wasn't right for me and he never loved me the way I did. It's been 3 weeks now from the beak up and three weks of NC. I feel lonely...and I feel that I wont ever get rid of this feeling.I look forward to going back to college.I'll try and do new things, meet new people but I'm afraid I wont be able to forget about him. I know most of you have been in this situation...I need some reassuring. Will I ever get out of the woods?
Poboy Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 absolutely , give it more time ... time is the biggest healer , do different things & keep yourself occupied ... ive had to do it 2 times and i moved on after a while from each one , you eventually do

It's hard at first and I know that you will go over and over in your mind as to what went wrong. Just know that if you were meant to be together that you still would be. Time does help it out. Just hang in there and know that there is someone out there who will not give up on you next time.
norajane Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 You're in college? Yep, as soon as you get back there and start living your life, you'll have lots more to think about than just your break-up. It'll hurt for a while, but not nearly as long as you think. Sooner, if you meet someone who puts a twinkle in your eye.

I second that. Keeping busy really helps. Well, trying to keep busy. Every impulse in your body is to dwell - and I've done more than my fair share of dwelling. But it does get better in time, or - perhaps more accurately in my case - different. Keep trying to smile... people will wonder what you're up to!
