soberminded Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 If your girlfriend has a myspace account does that mean she's cheating?
Author soberminded Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 I don't get what you mean by young. My girlfriend has a myspace account and she's in her late 20s. I don't know much about what this myspace business is. Is it a pick up dating website?
Sideburns Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 my advice, go to (URL removed by moderator) ...and if you decide that she's cheating because she has a profile on a website then there are some serious jealousy issues.
doubleint Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Myspace was originally made to keep in touch with friends and stuff. Now its mainly used for people to flirt with each other, lol. But, there are exceptions. I use Myspace because I get to talk to all my old friends from school, its pretty cool. I wouldnt be too worried, shes probably just talking with her girlfriends.
Sand&Water Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I wouldnt be too worried, shes probably just talking with her girlfriends. You bet she does. Just make sure her girlfriends don't look like boyfriends.
konfuzd Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I use myspace to keep up with the local music scene, a lot of bands give passwords for pre-sale tickets or offers for merchandise and stuff. If you're worried about her, go check out her profile, find out who's on her friend list, if she mentions she's in a rleationship, what kind of photos she's posted, groups she's in or what kind of comments people are leaving. That should give you a good idea of what she's using the site for.

That should give you a good idea of what she's using the site for. Well she's got 10 friends on her page. 5 guys, 2 women, her brother, and she made a profile for her dog. Her profile does list that she's in a relationship. There was one guy who made a comment saying "nice picture you put on your profile. very cool." Then another comment from a woman. Then another comment from a guy saying "thanks for the add. don't forget to pick up a new copy of my cd "if you are going through hell" thanks." All of the pictures she's posted is from her brother's wedding. Her parents are there and her brother and his wife. I couldn't find any groups that she's in. How do I find out what groups she's in?
konfuzd Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 IMO from what you've said about her profile, you have nothing to worry about. It all sounds really innocent. Any groups she's in would be listed where it gives her relationship status and stuff like that, if there's none listed, she doesn't belong to any.
destination_unknown Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Sounds innocent to me too. And the CD comment thing is just spam as far as I know. People in bands do that quite regularly to promote themselves I think.
enough crying 626 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 If your girlfriend has a myspace account does that mean she's cheating? NO MAYBE BOARD WITH NOTHING TO DO I BE ON MYSPACE JUST TO SEE IF I KNOW PEOPLE
Walk Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I had an account for a while, and I got this email message (whatever they call it on there) from a comic asking if he could stay at my house for the weekend. NEVER heard of the guy or had contact with him before. Obviously I deleted it... but occasionaly I got some really weird messages on there. Another time, this guy messaged me saying I had seductive eyes and he wanted to paint me. I just didn't reply to any of those. Had about 60/40 male to female friend ration. Most were old, old high-school friends. I wasn't cheating, nor looking. Just like to keep up on what people I once knew were doing with their lives.
ShoeGirl Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 MySpace is mostly intended for keeping in touch with friends from high school or college. If you are really worried about it, click on her friends pages and see if she has left comments. My bet is that if she has her brother added she is probably not likely to be using it for dating. I have a myspace and so does my boyfriend, it doesn't mean that we are cheating on eachother. Don't worry about it!
Keltie Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I'd agree. I have a myspace page and it means nothing. If some appears on it from a new friend of hers that concerns you, talk to her about it openly.
Guest Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I'm in my mid 20's and have myspace.. My boyfriend thought it was weird at first and that i'd be meeting nothing but guys that wanted to date me because of my picture.. But in reality, I do nothing but chat with friends I haven't seen in a while or who live out of state. My ex boyfriend did try to track me down on there, but my boyfriend thought that was more funny than threatening..
