If someone wasn't much of a friend of mine when I had low self confidence but tried to act all friendly to me when I build up my confidence, I ditch them. To me, that is something that is unforgivable. I just break all contact with them and don't acknowledge their existence; no explanations. Nothing. Rather have very little friends and deal with the loneliness than accept people that only want to get all chummy with you when you are only at your best.
