Guest Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 I have known this man now going on 8 weeks. A short period of time. The first three weeks were soooo fabulous! Then, the past 5, things have gotten kind of weird. We live 70 miles away from one another, but I commute to his relative area for work 5 days a week. Getting together for coffee, lunch, whatever...is no problem to work out. I have not see him for the past 5 weeks and yet, he keeps calling me daily. Telling me he is thinking about me and all that. True, he does have two children-10 and 16 with the 16 year old living with him (and he just moved with him a month ago too...) and has two jobs. He says he wants to see me every chance he can get but yet, he makes no effort. On his days off, he spends them with his kids--which really, I can't fault him for. But every single day all day. I've met his kids and really like them. I would think he is not interested or doesn't like me but then, why does he keep calling me and sending text messages every day? I rarely call him so its not like he needs an out or something. I don't know if I'm being selfish by wanting to see him more often---I'm only asking for an hour or so here and there for coffee or whatever! Or is it just bizarre that he doesn't seem to want to see me? In my opinion, a man, no matter how busy, will make the time no matter what if he really thought someone were worth it. Right? He keeps telling me I just need to be patient. I think I have been pretty darn patient! Not having kids do I just not understand all this and am I really being impatient??
