We just dated for a while last month (3 wks) before she dumped me and a week later started dating this guy who's now her bf. We parted on bad terms btw, since I was the one at fault...but I still want her back, and obviously she's still hurt and wouldn't want to give us another try which is why she is now involved with another guy. My question is since it has almost been a month, how should I respond when I see them together or when I see her, should I smile or nod or just continue walking as if I don't know her. I'm doing NC by not texting or calling her and by not speaking to her but should I be indifferent towards them or polite? I'm friends with her bf and talk to him when the girl's not around but don't mind him when they're together since I find it awkward if I talk to him and act like his gf does not exist, that's just rude...which is why I just stay away from them as much as possible. Another problem is we have the same set of friends which is why total NC is not possible and we study at a really small school where everybody sees everybody, what should I do?

Forgive me but I think you have got completely the wrong end of the stick about NC...You cant just "Do NC on her" as a way to get her back, especially if you only dated for three weeks. I think the best thing you could do is find someone else.

I really don't know how to act towards her as we have this tension in the air when we're near each other...I also noticed that she keeps looking at me when she sees me, like she wants to know how I'm feeling or what my reaction would be, I don't know how to interpret this and I really wanna know what's on her mind...so I just give her a blank stare whenever she looks at me. I don't know if it would help if I would nod or smile at her, as I don't want to give her the impression that I'm still on her leash or something yet I don't want her to know that I'm still not over her too...
