konfuzd Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 If you had a unisex name, would you date someone of the opposite sex with the same first name?
norajane Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 If Chris[topher] and Chris[tine] can date, then Taylor and Taylor can too. It would be real confusing with the mail, though, if living together. Hopefully, they have middle names.
Pyro Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 If you had a unisex name, would you date someone of the opposite sex with the same first name? Sure, why not? Its only a name. I would give myself a nickname or have her just so there is no confusion.
magichands Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 If you had a unisex name, would you date someone of the opposite sex with the same first name? No. That's a red flag.
burning 4 revenge Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 A red flag? How so? it's all over the internet haven't you seen those disgusting websites that cater to people into same-name relationships
magichands Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 A red flag? How so? A codependent relationship is never healthy. Maybe they could be friends with benefits, though. Yeah - that might work.
MsArtful Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 The same name carries different meanings for different people, if want to date some one with the same first name as you, perhaps you could find nicknames for each other. I have a unisex name, and I admit that dating a guy with the same name as me would definetly weird me out.
tinktronik Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Probably not , I think it would be too creepy screaming out my own name in bed....On second thought , I should start doing that anyway ..just for an extra dose of self esteem. Oh tink yeah baby your good .Oh tink ...oh oh oh tink!!! ect . See I'm feeling better already.
Buttaflyy Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Think that's creepy? How about from the male's POV when his name's Sean? I know a guy named Sean and his ex wife is Sean too. And my BF has the same name as my brother. That's real creepy to me.
SoCalCatman72 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 NO!!! I have an interesting first name that is, in the U.S. a common girl's name. I've met way too many women with my first name, and I don't think so. *Disclaimer* I am however a subscriber to the "true love conquers all" theory, so this is not a hard and fast rule, just a firm guideline
MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 How about dating someone with the same name as your ex? First AND middle name!!! ( a friend of mine is). I share the same first name with my best friend from childhood.
Shyguy86 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I know of an erin who is married to aaron! Kind of confusing when you call their house and ask for erin though. As for me I couldn't do it
Sally00 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 If you had a unisex name, would you date someone of the opposite sex with the same first name? A name is JUST a name. That can't POSSIBLY be the reason to not date someone. That's ridiculous if you ask ME. Maybe ya'll can just go by a different name to not make it confusing.
tanbark813 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Hell yeah. Then you could say things in bed like "Ohhhh Tanbark, you're SOOOO amazing!" and get an ego boost in parallel with talking dirty. Sign me up.
