Has anyone ever gotten a card for your birthday or Christmas and it didn't have a return address or wasn't even signed, it was just blank?

Well my husbands birthday is in a few days and he already has gotten b-day cards from family and friends. He got a card in the mail yesterday and he opened it, I was standing beside him when he opened it up. It didn't have a return address(which is not really that big of a deal, I have sent things and forgot to put a return address)But what was odd is, there was no signature, no name, nothing. Just said "Wishing you a happy birthday" on the inside of the card. Now we have gotten cards before from companies we do business with for Christmas/birthdays, but they usually have the address and are signed. The stamp on it said triad aea so that means it came from our area.

The handwriting looked kind of like my mother in laws, so I ked her about it. She said she hasn't even sent out his birthday card yet, it was laying on kitchen table. So I have no clue who its from and he says he doesn't either, and maybe he doesn't. Probably would never know anyway, but has anyone else received a card that had no return address plus no name or signature in the card? Its all just weird to me.

Do you have any elderly relations in the area? Perhaps one that might have forgotten to sign?

This was my thinking, BUT, he has already gotten all his birthday cards from his relatives he normally gets them from, except for his mother. She said she hadn't sent his out yet. It does remind me of someone with sloppy writing though, lol. The name is in cursive but the address and street name are in manuscript.

^^ last year I recieved a similar card to what you spoke of, needless to say everyone was very suspicious. As it turned out, my grandma had been to ill to go to the shop to get a card so had just asked a friend to send one, the friend didn't sign it, so it ended up being a random unsigned cad with unfamiliar handwriting. The truth will out :> I wouldn't get too worried just yet

So they could have possibly forgotten then? I dont understand the point here, unless you are indicating that perhaps it was a secret lover of some sort? And if that were the case, dont you think that this:

"Wishing you a happy birthday" on the inside of the card

Sounds a bit formal, generic, indifferent, and cold? There is no personality in it, it sounds more like it is coming from a company or perhaps a bank or business associate who:

have sent things and forgot to put a return address)
