Hi my problem is something some may say is petty, but it really hurts my feelings. My boyfriend of 3 years invited me to dinner and a movie. When i got off work he called to rush me along saying to hurry so we could eat and still catch the early movie. Then 5 minutes later he called to say his brother was unexpectantly off work and he wanted to stay home and play video games with him. I got furious and told him that was rude of him to do me this way. He got angry and hung up. Am i right in being mad?

Yep. He made a date with you and then broke it for something better. Unless there is some sort of peculiar situation in which he never ever sees this brother and this would be a very special occasion.

Yes. As a guyI can say that what he did is offensive and uncaring.

It was inconsiderate of him to do that to you. You have every right to be angry.

Question is, how are things going to be solved between you now?

My suggestion is, let him make it up to you, talk to him, let him know that you won't put up with that type of behaviour from him in the future. Plans are plans unless an emergency gets in the way.
