Anyway I think she's really cute and wanna get to know her and what not but I work in a different department (Dairy, basically unless needed, I won't go to the checkouts much) and don't really have the opportunity to talk with her. I was thinking of buying something silly (chocolate bar etc) and get served by her and start from there but what else could I do?

And I would - not that I'm necessarily saying otherwise - get out of the habit of calling her creed a "checkout chick." Being that fast on a keypad is a real skill! Good luck!!!! Just try not to make a scene - you don't want her getting in any trouble. And you have given yourself away as Australian, haha.

I mean, are they "chicks" because guys suck at doing things efficiently - or what?! Anyway forgot to add that there will only be a few moments to talk if I buy something. Right. Maybe try to do it when there is nobody behind you? Or are they always too busy?
