Guest Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Question: if you started to fall for somebody you were dating but you knew they were going to move thousands of miles away sometime in the next 18 months or so, would you stay with them and see what happens or cut your losses and avoid the heartbreak that is probably coming?
AwkwardMan Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 18 months is a long time. I'm sure I'll have fun for that duration. Besides, the first year or so is the funnest part of a relationship.
tearful_soul22 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I would remain with that person no matter how long or how far the journey is going to take. Don't assume the worse before it actually happens cause you might miss out on a beautiful relationship that way. Commit to your partner and see what happens. If the relationship is true, it will move to its next level and if not, then let it end..naturally. Take care and I wish you the best!
lilbabe Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I agree with Tearful & Awkward...18 months is a long time. You can't pretict what is going to happen or how wonderful that something is going to be. Take a chance & let things happen naturally. Have fun and enjoy each other everyday.
Guest Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I guess it doesnt matter now because he just called to dump me. The minute the walls start coming down and I started to fall for him. Thanks for the replies everyone.
whichwayisup Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I'm sure he was feeling the same way as you were feeling, falling for ya too. Maybe he felt he couldn't handle it which was why he called the whole thing off. Sorry you got hurt. Cry and get it out, but don't stay down for too long. Live life and move past this!
