francis Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi SK, You're in London so should have a range of options. I know it sounds crazy but what about checking out the free museums, galleries, find out more about yourself and what you are interested in/what you are drawn to in terms of history/art/design etc. Join the gym or sign up for yoga/pilates courses...if u pay for a course, you are more likely to return week by week. I've always wanted to do pottery classes, make my own pottery...and there are so many other evening classes available, a good way to meet people. What about learning a new language, or doing a computer course, add to your professional skills? Just things to get you out interacting with people again. It's hard but we are social animals and designed to be among others. A good way to move forward is to start a new life where there are no associations and no reminders of the ex.

2020vision Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 find out more about yourself and what you are interested in/what you are drawn to in terms of history/art/design etc. This is a good concept. Part of a break up should be discovering what you like and more importantly, what you don't like. I remember feeling excited about finding things that I liked that I did not have an opinion about before. This has helped me be more direct about dating as well. Anyhow, back to things to keep you occupied....Rent good movies, cook for yourself, go get a pedicure/manicure, get a couple good break up books to occupy your time with good thoughts.
