itsmurdermylove Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I have a great boyfriend. He treats me wonderfully. I have a problem with jealousy and I'm afraid it will end up pushing him away. I trust him completely. But I still always think the worst is going on, and he is good friends with his ex-girlfriend too so that doesn't help. This bothers me a lot, I constantly wonder if he is with her or if he's talking to her. I guess the problem is I worry too much, and I hate getting in arguments with him because he isn't doing anything, its my own insecurities. How do I stop worrying?

My boyfriend had an ex who never trusted him... not even after a couple years together. It hurt him. Trust is NECESSARY for a relationship to last. Are there any signs that show he's up to something... besides just talking to a girl? I'm still good friends with my ex and my boyfriend knows that. He's totally fine with it. My boyfriend and I have been friends for over a year and have been dating for almost 6 months now. We know each other very well... I guess that helps the whole trust issue. Maybe you need to get to know your boyfriend a little more (how long have you known him and dated him?). That way you are able to trust him... because you know him very well and know what he is capable of doing.
