I was wondering if others receive or have received text messages from advertisers? Last night I got a weird text message, it might have been for another person, anyway it read;

 

(tailless) Secure online pharmacy, for Levitra, no prescription needed. Then it said something else but I'm not sure what it was like midnight when I was readin it. I know what levitra is and I don't take it or need it. Anyway I was just wondering if others got text messages from things like that. I don't give my cell number out, so not sure why I would get it, unless like I said it was meant for someone else. BTW I have no clue what the (tailless) part is. That exactly how it was though. Maybe its like a code or something? Weird!

I personally, have never gotten a text like that, but doesn't mean others haven't. I don't care for texting anyway. You said it was from like an online pharamcy ad, do you surf the web from your phone? Maybe it was like a spam thing? The (tailless) thing is very weird!

The thing is I don't surf the web on my phone. I have internet access on my phone but its not on or connected whatever you want to call it. I hope I don't start getting texts like this, I would imagine it could get pretty annoying.

I would have thought you would have gotten more replies since texting seems to be the craze. Anyway I have never gotten a text like that either. Since you say you don't use your phone for the web, do you think maybe someone sent your number to an online place and got your number like that? Or maybe its like a telemarketer thing where they can get peoples home numbers/emails and cell numbers?
