Catheter ablation

Well, have any of you heard of this? I went to the doctor recently and found that I have SVT...supraventricular tachycarida. Basically an abnormal heart beat, racey etc. Well, they recommend me having catheter ablation. They go in through the groin with a catheter and go into my heart. Then he will trigger my abnormal heart beat and basically fry the circuit that makes that happen. I have to be awake the whole time yet slightly sedated. I am really scared. There is a very low rate of things going wrong, but the chances are always there. I am only 24 years old. Nobody I talk to that I know really has the right thing to say i guess so i was wondering if any of you have heard stories about this procedure or have had it etc. My condition isnt life threatning (so they say) but with time it gets a bit worse and it has altered my life. I stopped going to the gym, i quit caffeine, i cant play volleyball or go running. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!!
