just wondering? (short)

Hey, i want to phone a girl i know. We use to be good friends but drifted apart. I was wondering if it would sound wierd to call her and see if i can meet up with her. I like her, but before i ask her out i want to get to know her again.

 

 

 

 

P.S. I am talking about the same girl from the "what if she rejects me because i changed" post i made up a while ago.

I haven't read your other thread but I woudn't say she would reject you. If you haven't spoken to her in a while she'll probably be thrilled to hear from you!

 

Don't sound desperate on the phone or anything. Just be like "Hey, this probably seems like a really random phone call but you just popped into my head for some reason so I thought I'd better ring you to see if you're still alive!" throw in a little humor or something...

 

I dunno, just be yourself. It's not like she'll hang up on you or anything! Offer to catch up and see what she says. I'm sure she will.

Note: I LOVE gettign random phone calls from people I haven't spoken to in a while. It seems to happen to me all the time, it lets me know I was on their mind!

Ok.. I just read your other post about this girl.

 

If I were her, I would be thrilled you called me. Even if you two don't do anything more than catch up for a minute on the phone, and you decide you don't want to take it any further.

 

I had a guy I dated for a short while send me a brief letter about a year after we stopped seeing each other. (I'd changed cell carriers so my number changed) We'd only been on a few dates and were more like friends. Anyway, I was so thrilled that he thought of me and took a moment to write.

 

From the standpoint of the girl, she'll be thrilled that you thought of her.

 

From your view, nothing ventured, nothing gained. You really don't have anything to lose on this. Even if she's dating someone, she'll still think your awesome for calling her.
