Brittanyjean06 Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I was thinking the other day about people who randomly die on this site, and none of us really ever know about it? Unless others have interacted in a way possible to find out that one has died. Ever have a particular name that you just don't see any more that usually was in here every day? Just curious.
littlekitty Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Do you mean actually die?! I wouldn't have thought the % is that high!! Or at least hopefully not. It's more likely people have just chosen to disappear into the ether. I miss Art_Critic, but he's disappeared. I hope the clown didn't meet a grim end!

I do not believe Art went to the big circus in the sky. BJ this is one hell of a depressing post
LucreziaBorgia Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I always wondered what happened to Monday. I'll never forget her wet cat avatar!
bab Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I actually think about this occassionaly. Especially when there is a post in which someone is contemplating suicide. I always think that people keep posting telling them not to commit suicide, how do they know that the person isn't already dead? Yes, morbid thoughts, but it's the price you pay for talking with people strictly online.

Author Brittanyjean06 Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 I know It's depressing. I've been in " deep " talkative moods now and days. But It is something to think about, Maybe art is on vacation. It is summer I always think that to especially when their are posts on suicide, some just never seem to reply back. Sorry this is depressing. But it is something to think about!
Asafan Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Aren't you a bit young to be so morbid? I think AC got the boot for being a bad boy.
bendit Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 the chances are the ones you don't see anymore didn't die. the good news is they likely just left! hope this cheers you up a little. regards
Author Brittanyjean06 Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 Am I too young to be morbid??? Your saying I have to be a certain age to think about death? lol Sorry people think and are curious to know. You think I'm getting pleasure out of this? It's sad to think but important to know. Thank you. I know the percentage is really low for that to happen, but the what ifs are in question. No hard feelings
Blackfrost Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I think people alot of people just take breaks from LS because you start seeing the same threads over and over again, because newbies don't bother to search on old threads and read all the good feedback from those. I know that i'm done answering workout and weightloss threads forever - everything everyone ever needs to know about those topics has been answered a million times now.
Outcast Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Not to mention the 'is my penis too small?' 'am I pregnant' and 'why do nice guys always come last'.
jerbear Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 The other reasons I left temporarily is that it took so much time initially. Now just a few minutes a day here and there. Sometimes one see domestic abuse and no action; just depressing and riles the blood sometimes.
