Walk Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 English, man, english!! Most people don't respond to the text message psuedo-speak you posted. I'm assuming canadian movie theaters are a lot like US... And what you posted sounds the same as here. Pay at the ticket booth, give the usher the ticket as you walk in.
Author confused_123 Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 um is it the same ticket for all movies or different?
Walk Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Different tickets. But same counter. The movie theaters in the US have 4-5 movies playing, so you just go to the ticket counter, tell them what movie and they hand you the ticket. Same cost no matter what movie. When you get to the usher (don't know what they're called, but its the guy who takes the ticket) He'll tear it and tell you where to go. The ones around here have several theaters inside the building, and they're numbered. So teh usher guy tells you what number to go to. They always have the name of the movie next to the number too. Worst case scenario, drive down to the theater on a Friday or saturday afternoon and take a quick walk through. They don't stop you until you cross the ropes to get back into where the movies are played. Most places let people wander in and out around the concession stand and bathrooms without tickets. Might give you a general feel for the place and where you would need to go, so when you took your date you'd look like you knew what you were doing.
Author confused_123 Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 so um when u give to the ticket to the usher you go in likea room with the theaters inside? or u can see the different theaters from the counter?
Walk Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Usually can see some of the theaters from the counter, but not most of them. Just a few. They usually have the listings of all the movies & times at the counter. Or jump on the net, and look up the theaters in your town. The ones here have web sites. They give ticket prices, discount information, movie's showing and times. And some have little blurbs, or trailers about each movie too. Even the dollar theater down the road has a web site with moives and times.
