wondering* Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 This August I will have been single for the past two years. Two years ago I got out of a long term relationship and have used all this time to focus on myself. I'm ready to find someone again but I'm scared. I'm not sure what I'm to do. I have met someone and I don't want to mess it up. What are your expectations guys?
Sally00 Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Well, learn from the past and your experiences. Try not to compare too much... it'll just ruin what you got with the guy. That's all I've got. I'm not really in the thinking mode right now... at 3:14 in the morning. I tried. lol
evilsponge Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 expectations? hmm, the only expectations I would have of a girl on a date would be her to show up on time and not flake out! lol I best advice I can give is just try and have fun instead of worrying what he's thinking or what you should be doing.
j.carsey Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 expectation of a girl? It's nice when the person you're seeing is honest and doesn't lie. that kind of thing means the world to me
LikkleMissConfused Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 j.carsey - its such a rare quality honesty! but if both the girl and guy are honest then there is no confusion or hurt. I beleive this is the most important thing.
j.carsey Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Hey the honesty doesn't always sound like a good idea. From my girlfriend I heard she had slept with way too many guys, did crazy drugs, was an alcoholic, had been on the verge of mental collapse several times. And I told her I slept with many girls, had trouble staying in long term relationships, am somewhat irresponsible and overall immature. But when everything was out there and we knew everything about each other, it still worked out to become one of the most satisfying relationships I was ever in. So yeah i'm a big fan of honesty
stoopid_guy Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 "Be yourself" is a big one. Also have to agree with honesty, but that's also dependent on trust and respect. If you don't trust and respect someone, you're not going to be honest with them.
