Walk Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 My bf said, couple weekends ago, that he felt like he didn't have any passion. For anything right now. From what I understood, I think he meant about life in general. That nothing is really drawing him, nothing really excites him. Like he's stuck in a rut. He asked me to help him with this, and I'm no closer to having an idea than I was the day he asked me. I can't think of anything exciting to do. We don't have any money so options are extremely limited. I've tried getting him interested in things I enjoy, but he's not the outdoors type. And frankly, I'm pretty solitary in my hobbies, so it's hard to include him in on them. All he does is work, come home, eat dinner and go to bed. Same thing every night. I'M bored. How the heck am I gonna jump start his passion if I'm stuck in as big a rut as he is? I know this is selfish, but I'm a little resentful that every single night he comes home grumpy. Like tonight. It's friday night. He gets home and seemed happy for all of about 5 minutes. Then the rest of the evening his mood decreases til he's just staring at the floor while sitting next to me. (He's overly stressed about money and bills due.) So then I get angry at myself for being resentful that he's always grumpy. My problem is, how do I make it fun again without money? Walks are not the answer. I've tried that. Neither is bike riding. If something doesn't change, this is going to send me running for the hills screaming like a crazy women.
