bttrswt2008 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 im 18 im in love with a 35 year old... he was my teacher in 8th grade... but im out of high school now... i used to visit him alot(we were just friends..dont get any funky thoughts) i am honestly in love with the guy... im like 99.9% sure he is single.... im pretty sure the feelings are mutual... what do i do and how..lol
magichands Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I think that more accurately - you have a crush. How long have you been crushin? You are talking about a huge difference in life experience here... although he is a teacher (I've heard that they don't get about that much). Those that can - do. Those that can't - teach.
Author bttrswt2008 Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 it started freshman year.... and so yeah..for four years now... i know for sure it started out as a crush.. but now that im going into college.. we are hanging out alot..like..lunches & dinners & stuff i dont know what to do
My_Other_I Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Those that can - do. Those that can't - teach. Too funny. I agree. You have a crush. And if the feelings really are mutual, you have a crush and a problem. A 35 year old falling for an 18 year old is either emotionally immature, extremelly desperate or a pervert. I'm not judging, just questioning what could a man twice your age possibly think he has to offer to you? And vice versa - what do you think you can offer to a man who'd been around the block for 17 more years? Be careful here. Very careful.
amaysngrace Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 but now that im going into college.. On your other post, didn't you say you were a junior in high school? Yeah, I'm almost sure you did! we are hanging out alot..like..lunches & dinners & stuff Umm....you WISH! Dishonest people really irk me!
Author bttrswt2008 Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 its not funny at all its an actual problem im having uhm..OF COURSE I KNOW HES TOO OLD dont you think thats the first thing that crossed my mind... im not an idiot... its a situation where my heart is telling me-go..take a chance while my brain is saying-no hes too old,you dont need that..it wont last... i just need help making the choice... its frustrating
magichands Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 And vice versa - what do you think you can offer to a man who'd been around the block for 17 more years? We'll give you a clue. It has three letters and ends in ex. But seriously, I'm sure you're a very sweet and intelligent young woman. Use it (the latter, not the former).
My_Other_I Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 i just need help making the choice... Leave him be. Are you gonna listen though?
Author bttrswt2008 Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 hmm..ok well.. i think i know what my choice is... why wait around for something that might not even be there/happen in the first place im young..and i have my whole life ahead of me.. thank you magichands =]
My_Other_I Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 We'll give you a clue. It has three letters and ends in ex. But seriously, I'm sure you're a very sweet and intelligent young woman. Use it (the latter, not the former). Ha, that is true. But if amaysngrace was right, then it might not be the case, either...
amaysngrace Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Hey BS, shouldn't you be IM-ing a friend about all this? Or what cha go and do....alienate them all by your deception?
amaysngrace Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 But if amaysngrace was right, then it might not be the case, either... It's on the same page as this one right now. It's called 'in love with an older man' or something. I only know this cause lovely me responded with genuine concern only to be duped. About ten minutes later, this one showed up. Good thing I've only had one twisted so far
magichands Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Kids are growing up faster these days - but that's ridiculous. So... how old are you?
